CS Tanker has taken delivery of CS Glacier, a 180,000 CBM LNG carrier built at Hyundai Heavy Industries' Ulsan shipyard. The vessel is the largest in our LNG fleet and the third new LNG carrier to join CS Tanker in the past two years, reflecting our strategic commitment to the growing global LNG trade.

Vessel Specifications

CS Glacier is a Moss-type LNG carrier with four spherical tanks providing a total cargo capacity of 180,000 CBM. The vessel is equipped with a dual-fuel propulsion system capable of burning LNG boil-off gas as fuel, significantly reducing fuel costs and emissions. The vessel also features a reliquefaction system to minimise boil-off losses during long voyages.

Trade Route and Charter

CS Glacier will operate on the Qatar-to-Japan trade route under a long-term Contract of Affreightment with a major Japanese utility company. The contract, which runs for seven years, provides CS Tanker with stable, predictable revenue and reflects the confidence of our Japanese client in CS Tanker's operational capabilities.

LNG Fleet Strategy

CS Glacier's delivery brings CS Tanker's LNG fleet to six vessels, making us one of the larger independent LNG carrier operators globally. The LNG segment has been a strategic priority for CS Tanker since our entry into the market in 2010, and we continue to see strong long-term demand fundamentals driven by the global energy transition and the growing role of LNG as a transition fuel.

CCO Statement

"CS Glacier is a superb vessel and we are delighted to welcome her to the fleet," said Andreas Nikolaou, Chief Commercial Officer. "The long-term COA with our Japanese client provides excellent revenue visibility and reflects the strength of the relationships we have built in the Asian LNG market over the past decade. We look forward to many years of safe and efficient service on this important trade route."
