CS Tanker established three joint ventures with Sinopec and PetroChina, cooperating with MOL to order 10 LNG vessels. CS Tanker controls 6 of these vessels, serving China's growing LNG import demand and expanding beyond crude oil into gas carrier operations.

Strategic Partnerships

The joint ventures with Sinopec and PetroChina — China's two largest national oil companies — provide CS Tanker with long-term cargo commitments and strategic alignment with China's LNG import programme. The cooperation with MOL (Mitsui O.S.K. Lines) brings Japanese LNG shipping expertise and established relationships with Asian LNG buyers.

LNG Market Entry

The entry into the LNG carrier segment marked a significant diversification for CS Tanker, expanding beyond crude oil into the growing global LNG trade. China's LNG imports have grown dramatically since 2011, and CS Tanker's early entry into the segment has positioned it well to serve this demand.
